Custom Wood Picture Frames Now Offered

Digital photography - capturing the moment, events and scenes is a great way to preserve and hold on to those memories, special occasions and favorite photos of your family and friends. With so many digital photo galleries, photo sharing websites and online digital photo albums, many people don’t make prints of the pictures they take. Yes, being able to view you photos on your computer screen or DVD slideshow is nice but nothing beats a photo print mounted in a custom picture frame for everyone to see at anytime they wish and to add character to any room.  Choose a couple of your best photos and have enlargement prints made to put in a custom picture frame. I am sure you will agree it is very satisfying to see your picture framed and displayed where others can see it. Photos and art personalize your homes décor and can make rooms more interesting.

How to choose the right picture frame?  Some things you should consider are the size of photo you want to frame, colors in the photo, picture matting, décor of the room where will the picture frame be hung, coordinate or accent the room furniture and furnishings. Some popular designs styles are contemporary, traditional, country, mission, western, driftwood, shaker, driftwood, distressed wood and metal frames. If you are using small to mid size frames like 8x10 or 11x14, try grouping photos together in groups of two or three to make them more interesting.

Recently I started offering genuine custom made wood picture frames in any wood species, color or size. My picture frames are custom made- NOT just custom cut prefinished picture moldings as most other picture framers use, there is a big difference in our product for this claim. Every frame we build starts from a piece of rough or dimensional lumber and milled to the sizes required with separate moldings made and applied. The wood is kiln dried to lower moisture content and fabricated in a temperature controlled wood shop environment. Most all of the profiles of our picture frames are an assembly of multiple solid wood shapes either cut or routed to size, then clamped, glued and pinned together. The completed wood frame is sealed on front and back with a moisture resistant coating to stabilize the wood frame. After the frame is made it is stored for 24hous for the glue to dry before any of the sanding steps are started. Popular wood species for frames made of solid wood- pine, oak, white oak, beech, birch, alder, maple, poplar, cherry, ash, All of our frames are custom made and uniquely hand finished with up to a 15 step finishing process on our Signature Series custom wood picture frames. Even our lower priced Premium Series frames have an eight step hand applied furniture finish.

Ford Motor Company- Their Own Stimulus Package,

No Bailout Money Needed

Ford Motor Company, much different than GM and Chrysler, has continued to operate without applying for Bailout money from the Fed. Ford continues to strategize their way through the deep recession and tough economic times ahead. Although Ford has asked the U.S. Government for access to a line of credit for $9billion, they have not received any loans nor has the government acted on Ford’s requests to date. Ford’s management team continues to restructure and tighten its belt to survive the recession the country is in. Ford Motor has borrowed heavily in the past 2 years and has managed to leverage these loans with solid assets within the company.

As Ford’s president and CEO, Alan Mulally stated to Congress back in December, they are in a much different situation than their competition. Ford does not have to liquidate immediately and does not need short term emergency funds but rather a long term line of credit no different than they would pursue through a commercial bank.

Ford Motor Company is the best example of an “American Automaker” dealing with the global markets, reacting and restructuring to survive and profit during the recession. They have excelled the other U.S. auto companies with strategic and smart marketing plans by facing the poor economic conditions and targeting the customers that buy their products in a different way.  It appears Ford understands in order to maintain cash flow and save jobs, the existing inventory must be moved out so the auto and truck plants can continue working to produce new products.

Maybe the biggest factor in Ford’s survival is how their administration implemented a plan early on and created innovative ways to deal with the recession in the year ahead. Ford took a long term approach in knowing 2009 would be a difficult year and the economic recovery may not start till the second half of 2009. For these reasons, Alan Mulally Ford CEO, is not camping out and sleeping on Congress doorstep waiting for the door to open to be handed a plate of money. Ford continues to be proactive in saving jobs and work with the autoworkers to benefit everyone for the long term.
